31 Days to Declutter Your Life- DAY 1 (Living Room)

For Christmas my mom got me a magazine.  Occassionally she will get my sisters and I subscriptions to magazines, but this year it was not a subscription, it was just a magazine.  She said it was one of the article headings that caught her eye and it just screamed,  'JESSICA!'

So I decided that my goal for the month of January would be to use this article to hopefully help me to declutter my life.  So for the next 31 days I am going to be sharing a daily tip that can help you declutter your life as well.

DAY 1 - DARE TO BE SPARE
With too much furniture, even the most spacious living room can look like an episode of Hoarders.  Ease congestion by sticking to the basics - a sofa, a bookshelf, a comfy chair an end table and a coffee table -  and arrange so there's a clear unimpeded traffic flow.

Our living room is probably as scarce as it is going to get.  We really don't have a lot of room and already have the minimum.  We have a sofa, love seat and a built in entertainment center/book shelf and that's it.

See, nothing too fancy.  We have a large family but make due with what we have.  As we go through this 31 day decluttering adventure, I will be sharing more of the rooms in our cozy little home.
